Tom James Scott – Crystal LP (Carnivals)

Lush but insipid processed string rake/chord clusters ring out over field recordings of the sea at Walney Island serve as a prelude to a sidelong static drone, interwoven with scales and textures in an attempt to add depth (which, on some level, is achieved) but about as interesting as inspecting poultry. If you’ve ever been to a spa, you’ve heard something like this. 350 copies, clear vinyl. (http://www.carnivals.bigcartel.com)
